Craving more sex? Here are my personal favorites in sexuality podcasts, goth-industrial & fetish events, erotica, kink websites, books, and more.
Podcasts
Savage Love, Dan Savage’s weekly sex advice podcast, is a staple of my iPod. Hilarious, blunt, and usually right, Dan is always entertaining.
I Want Your Sex gives listeners a titillating view of the world of sex clubs and open relationships, as told by the sultry-voiced Mia Martina. Mia seems to know no fear as she immerses herself in alternative sexuality, and her stories are hot, funny, educational, heart-wrenching, and most of all, authentic.
The Masocast is a New York City-based sexuality podcast that features interviews with people who identify as kinky. The host, Axe, explores BDSM, fetish, and kink culture with his guests, each of whom offers a unique perspective on his or her areas of expertise. He begins each interview by asking for a biographical history of how the interviewee got involved in the fetish scene, which offers a fascinating personal account of sexual identity.
Fetish Flame, hosted by Nova and Atticus, hasn’t been updated recently, but it’s still a treasure trove of podcasts focused on one fetish per episode. The hosts are charming and often have guest experts on to discuss their fetish of choice.
Events
(There are far too many kinky events for me to list, so I’m only listing those that I’ve attended or with which I’m familiar. As a result, all of these will be in New England)
Ulteria is a goth-industrial night in New Haven and Hartford, CT. Expect the DJ to play EBM and industrial. You can wear almost anything as long as it’s not typical (so no jeans). This isn’t a fetish event, but you’ll notice a lot of overlap between the goth-industrial and fetish scenes. People are open, friendly, accepting, and looking to have a good time.
Sin-O-Matic is a goth-industrial night held at the gay club Machine in Boston, MA. Again, dress to impress–no jeans or regular club wear. Machine is a great venue with several floors, an elevated DJ booth, multiple bars, a stage, pool tables, and stripper poles (with which I’m intimately familiar). You’ll see a full spectrum of sexualities, genders, and outfits at Sin-O-Matic. Like most goth-industrial nights, the DJs will play EBM, industrial, new wave, and goth classics.
Jaded is a goth-industrial and fetish networking night in Lowell, MA. Although I haven’t yet made it there, I’ve heard great things and seen some very hot photos of previous nights.
Haven is a weekly goth-industrial alternative event held at Diva’s nightclub, a huge venue with one of the largest dance floors in New England. They encourage creativity in their dress code, but you won’t be turned away for what you wear. Still, I’d stay away from looking like you just came from the mall–it ruins the fantasy vibe.
Montreal Fetish Weekend, held in Montreal, Canada, Montreal Fetish Weekend is truly “3 days and nights of pervy delights,” to quote their website. This large event draws hundreds of the most beautiful and dedicated kinksters for events like the exhibitionist photo tour, which leads people dressed in their fetishy best around the city in broad daylight, and the Latextacy fetish fantasy ball. Montreal Fetish Weekend has to be seen to be believed.
Erotica and Porn
Burning Angel features alt, punk rock, tattooed, goth, and emo porn stars who all seem to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Burning Angel is run by Joanna Angel, a smart Jewish girl who’s never been ashamed of her sexual appetite. You can feel Joanna’s influence all over the site, and that’s a good thing.
Literotica is a massive database of free, user-contributed erotica–written tales of sexual fantasies. Although you may have to wade through some poor examples to get to the standouts, the site’s rating system helps. Maybe you’ll even find some of my stories.

Websites
Fetlife is a bondage, BDSM, and fetish community for kinksters, by kinksters. Think of it as a kinky Facebook. It’s free, it has a simple and clear layout, and it has the added benefit of being a sexy black and red. Once you set up a profile, you can specify which fetishes you’re into or merely curious about, join groups, meet like-minded people, and find events. I can’t recommend this site highly enough.
The National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF) is a nonprofit organization committed to creating a political, legal and social environment in the US that advances equal rights for consenting adults who engage in alternative sexual and relationship expressions. The NCSF aims to advance the rights of, and advocate for consenting adults in, the BDSM-Leather-Fetish, Swing, and Polyamory Communities. They pursue their vision through direct services, education, advocacy, and outreach, in conjunction with their partners, to directly benefit these communities.

Kink Academy offers sex ed for grown-ups, featuring some of the most talented and knowledgeable people in the sex education field giving their insights on all things sex. This site is a wealth of information and a tremendous resource.
