Who’s Raven?
I’m a kinky chick. I was born with fetishes and discovered that I was not alone in this respect when I read Anne Rice’s “Exit to Eden” when I was roughly 12. I still wish that a place like The Club existed. I then found Anne Rice’s “Sleeping Beauty” trilogy and the BDSM classic, Pauline Reage’s “Story of O.” Those books started it all.
I began writing erotic stories in high school, donned leather and whipped frat boys in college, began attending goth-industrial and fetish events in law school, and continue delving deeper into the scene today through podcasting, attending conferences and parties, presenting, and (of course) my private life. I’m lawyer and athlete by day; tattooed kinktress and cosplayer by night. I have stories that will make your head spin.
Friends and acquaintances have directed their sex questions to me for years, and I’m flattered by their confidence and motivated to help. I started the podcast to provide information–and entertainment–to people with questions about alternative sexuality.
Podcasting isn’t my job; it’s a fulfilling hobby that lets me meet, and hopefully help, other people like myself. I named the show “Freedom of Fetish” to highlight my belief that we’re all entitled to our fantasies, our wants, and our desires, no matter what they are. You have the right to be turned on. Thoughts alone never hurt anyone.
My answers come from the many sex-focused books, podcasts, and websites I’ve absorbed to satisfy my own endless curiosity on the subject. Of course, the life experience doesn’t hurt, either.
When an expert can give more complete insight into a subject than I could, however, I call one in for a guest appearance. Guests not only make for a fun recording experience for me, but they give you, the listener, a view into the many niches of the fetish realm.
You can find me on facebook and twitter in my free time, and be sure to join the Freedom of Fetish facebook page for updates and information.
Thanks for listening. Now, get out there and do dirty things.
